COVID-19 Information
How Arbor Company communities are responding to the pandemic
The Arbor Company Response to COVID-19
At The Arbor Company, our focus is the health and safety of our residents, staff, and visitors. As a senior living operator, we are no strangers to infection control procedures, even well before COVID-19 became a pandemic. We follow guidelines from state and local health departments, as well as The Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
Explore some of the precautions we are taking at Arbor communities:
-
Social Distancing
We work to maintain social distancing to balance safety and joy, especially when someone is sick.
-
Masks Optional Most of the Time
During times when the COVID-19 transmission level in our surrounding area, based on CDC data, is low, we will no longer require face masks in the community. This includes residents, visitors, and staff. However, anyone who chooses to wear a mask is welcome to do so, and we will have surgical grade masks available if someone needs one.
-
Visitors Welcome
We welcome you to visit our communities, and we are fully open to visitors unless a government regulatory entity prohibits or limits visits.
We ask and trust that anyone who has tested positive for an illness, or has codes, influenza, or COVID-19 symptoms, will postpone visits until they are fully recovered.
-
Surface Sanitization
Our housekeeping and maintenance teams clean and sanitize surfaces using EPA-approved cleaning chemicals.

-
Connection
We are delighted to welcome visitors in our communities. But when protocols require it, we will also help residents connect with their friends and families via video visits using tools such as Zoom and FaceTime, or through scheduled window visits.
-
Engaging Activities
Our activities are open, but in the event someone must quarantine due to illness, we have a variety of portable, engaging activities to bring to residents.
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
When needed, staff will use full PPE, which may include gowns, gloves, and face shields, when interacting with any residents on isolation protocols. We have supplies of PPE on-hand, with backup supplies available if needed.
-
Resident Monitoring
We work to monitor the health and wellness of our residents, from temperature checks to symptom monitoring. Deep connections and personal touches are important to us, and we take pride in knowing our residents and how they are feeling.
