Arbor Terrace Lakeway recently hosted a fun and lively event for our assisted living, Bridges neighborhood, and memory care residents — a sock hop! This retro-themed party brought back memories of the 1950s and 60s, with classic tunes, dancing, and treats. The community room was transformed into a swinging sock hop with balloons and a photo booth with props, creating a festive atmosphere. To make the event extra special, we also held a raffle where residents could win gift certificates, a foot massager, puzzles, and more. Classic hits from the era were played, including rock & roll, doo-wop, and swing. Residents and staff members took to the dance floor, twisting, and shouting to the beat. The energy was infectious, and even those who weren't dancing couldn't help but tap their feet and sing along.
