The highly anticipated COVID-19 vaccine is now being administered, and health care personnel and older adults are among the first to receive the shots.
The Vantage at Cityview held a vaccination clinic on Dec. 29, and it was open to residents, as well as staff members who chose to receive the shot.
During the seven-hour clinic, Walgreens administered the vaccine to more than 250 residents and staff members.
The second round of shots will be given on Jan. 19, and residents and staff will have a second chance to receive the first dose if they didn’t receive it in December.
