With the ongoing pandemic, more and more individuals are seeking pets for companionship. Dog owners can gain additional health benefits such as emotional support and daily exercise from their furry family members, who often have distinctive personalities.
Medical studies continue to support the benefits of pet ownership. In October 2019, research results about the impact of pets on humans’ overall health were published in the American Heart Association’s journal, Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes, which noted that dog owners were 31% less likely to die from a heart attack or stroke.
On Nov. 7, Arbor Terrace Exton was excited to partner with TLC Adoptions to help match potential dog owners with furry companions. The event offered individuals a safe alternative to meet a select group of rescue dogs seeking a new home. The community offered refreshments and drinks. The dogs loved the cool weather, with tails wagging, they gladly received hugs and love from attendees.
The TLC team brought plenty of treats for Hank and his furry friends. New dog owners could purchase additional treats and toys with proceeds from the sale benefiting TLC rescue and adoption efforts.
A special thank you to the team at TLC Adoptions for partnering with Arbor Terrace Exton and for helping our canine community find new families.
