The staff of Arbor Terrace Roseland takes honoring residents who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States seriously. A recent pre- Veteran’s Day celebration included a hearty, “Thank you for your service!” to four very special residents and former U.S. Navy sailors deserving of honor for their service to our country.
Chester served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, under the command of Chief Benjamin. Although war time is not the fondest of memories for the former sailor, Chester remains proud of the dedicated years during which he served his country.
Richard, a resident from the Evergreen memory care neighborhood, was on active duty in the U.S. Navy for four years, during which he served as petty officer second class during the Goodwill Tour in Ireland, Vietnam, the Netherlands and Germany. He served on the USS McDonald and completed basic training in Illinois.
Patrick served in the U.S. Navy for three years as Radar Man 1st Class. He served in the Pacific Ocean on an Aircraft Carrier.
New Arbor Terrace Roseland resident, Arthur, was in the U.S. Navy for two years serving on the East Coast.
These sailors displayed “strength that weathered all storms” during pivotal times when our country needed them. For this honorable service, the entire Arbor family extends gratitude and joins the staff in expressions of appreciation to let these brave sailors know their sacrifice is remembered.
