Working at Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel is like being with family. The staff and residents become close. So close that coworkers become bridesmaids and residents become wedding guests.
When planning to tie the knot, our Engagement Director Mia knew she wanted to share this important moment with as many friends and family members as possible. She and her husband Lucas decided to recreate their special day with their Arbor Terrace Waugh Chapel family—an event Mia will treasure forever.
Tracy Clark officiated the wedding and Denise Kirksey stood in as bridesmaid—both are fellow Engagement Directors at nearby Arbor communities. Mia and Lucas said their vows and exchanged rings in front of residents.
The processional led to a room staged for picture taking. The wedding festivities continued with music, dancing, and wedding cake, and the newlyweds closed out the night with their first dance.
After the party ended, the Mr. and Mrs. toured the community and visited residents that were unable to attend the event.
Mia said, “Sharing my special day with my Arbor family was the greatest joy!” She went on to thank the amazing staff, residents, and her husband for making her wish come true.
