As a grateful nation saluted the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom, Summit of Uptown held its Memorial Day commemoration on Thursday, with a ceremony to honor veterans, who recited the Pledge of Allegiance, sang “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and received a certificate and ribbon in honor of their service. The event concluded with the reading of poems and the playing of “Taps.”
