The reviews are in – The Summit of Uptown was a hit in this year’s Fabulous Fall Wine Walk, sponsored by the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce.
The annual Wine Walk invites wine lovers to the Uptown Park Ridge area to sip, shop and socialize. A variety of businesses participated in the Wine Walk – health clubs, salons, gift shops, realty and financial offices, wine shops and art galleries – but The Summit of Uptown was the only senior living stop on the Wine Walk.
This was the first time for The Summit to participate; we were the second stop on the tour. Summit residents Audrey, 91, and Joan, 100, greeted visitors, while other residents and staff helped pass out tiny souvenir wine glasses and corkscrews. More than 300 people came through the doors and raved about the food and festive atmosphere.
One reviewer, who has attended every Wine Walk in past years, called The Summit of Uptown the best stop on the tour.
“They had the best food, gave the small wine glass and corkscrew, and best of all was having the residents stamp the card and direct everyone to the proper place,” said reviewer Lynn McGrew. Lynn added that residents seemed to be having a blast and expressed hopes that The Summit will participate in future walks.
Stop by The Summit of Uptown and see what everyone was raving about for yourself. We can’t wait to meet you.
