Karen McHenry

Executive Director

Karen McHenry serves as the Executive Director at The Arbor Company, offering 18 years of dedicated experience in senior living. Since 2006, she has excelled in various roles, including Director of Sales and Marketing and Executive Director. Karen's career began in Florida, where she worked at prominent senior living communities providing diverse levels of care. In April 2023, she relocated to join The Arbor Company. Passionate about working with seniors, Karen loves hearing their stories and forming deep, familial connections. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and antique shopping with her grandchildren.

Jennifer Valiquett

Community Sales Director

Jennifer Valiquett brings a wealth of experience and a heartfelt commitment to her role as Community Sales Director, having dedicated 15 years to the senior living industry. Her career began as a Concierge in Buckhead, where her passion and dedication quickly led to promotions, first to Director of Resident Relations and then to Community Relations Director.

A proud Georgia native and a graduate of Reinhardt University, Jennifer has deep roots in her community, enhancing her ability to connect with and serve local families effectively. She loves working with seniors because it is her purpose in life to help families and seniors find solutions for their loved ones.

Outside of her professional life, Jennifer and her family cherish their time boating and visiting the waterpark at Lake Lanier.

Makieu Davies

Resident Care Director

With 24 years of dedication to senior living and 14 years in assisted living, Makieu Davies brings extensive expertise to her role. Starting her career as a nurse at Ivy Hall Senior Living, she quickly advanced to Wellness Director. She continued her leadership at Oaks Senior Living for 6.5 years, excelling in both memory care and assisted living. Born in Sierra Leone and a resident of Cumming, GA since 2004, Makieu is passionate about her calling to work with seniors. She enjoys cooking Jollof rice, dining at Season 52, and spending quality time with her family at local city centers as well as on the golf course.

Payton Washburn

Memory Care Director

Payton Washburn brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Memory Care Director at Arbor Terrace, with 5 years in senior living and a dedicated background in volunteer work. Her career includes key roles such as Lead Certified Nursing Assistant at Gardens of Gainesville Assisted Living, Lead Med Tech at Morningside of Gainesville, and Memory Care Program Director and Scheduler.

Born in Gainesville, Georgia, and raised between South Carolina and Cleveland, Georgia, Payton’s commitment to healthcare was ignited in high school through her active participation in Health Occupations Students of America and volunteering at Bell Minor Skilled Nursing Facility. She finds immense joy in working with seniors, stating, "This work fuels my soul and makes my heart happy." Outside of work, Payton enjoys cooking chicken chili and spending quality time fishing, visiting the lake, or attending rock concerts with her dad and little sister.

Lee Jarrett

Engagement Director

Lee Jarrett, Engagement Director, boasts 23 years of dedicated service in Senior Living and a wealth of expertise. His career began in Washington, DC, where he dedicated 16 years before joining Parc at Piedmont East Cobb Senior Living Community. There, he advanced from Activity Coordinator to Wellness & Engagement Director. A passionate community servant, Lee loves working with seniors to help them enjoy their lives to the fullest. In his free time, he enjoys crafting delicious tacos and exploring the outdoors with his family, especially at local festivals.

Roy Lewis

Dining Director

Roy Lewis brings a wealth of experience and passion to his role as Dining Director at Arbor Terrace. With nineteen years in the culinary industry, including sixteen years of professional cooking, Roy has spent most of his career in senior living care. Before joining Arbor Terrace, he was the dining director at Oaks Senior Living, where he managed the kitchen and introduced his own menus and recipes.

Roy’s expertise gives him a deep understanding of residents' unique dietary needs. He is committed to providing balanced nutrition in every meal and snack, ensuring a healthy and satisfying dining experience. His dedication is evident in the family-like relationships he has built with the residents.

In his free time, Roy enjoys cooking Italian cuisine and spending time with his family, participating in community activities that bring smiles and gratitude to those around him. His dedication to both his professional and personal life makes him a truly cherished member of the Arbor Terrace family.

Joshua Gaspard

Maintenance Director

Joshua Gaspard is the Maintenance Director with 8 years of dedicated experience in senior living and 15 years of overall expertise. He has held key roles at Cadence Senior Living and G&K Senior Living in Los Angeles. Joshua is passionate about working with seniors because he loves giving back to the community. His favorite meal is salmon salad, and in his leisure time, he and his family enjoy golfing.

Olawale Ajagbe, MHA

Business Office Director

With 14 years of experience in senior living, Olawale Ajagbe has a wealth of knowledge and expertise developed over a variety of roles. He began his career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Hackensack Meridian Health Subacute Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey before becoming a Certified Medication Aide at St. Gabriel of Athens in Georgia. Over the last five years, Olawale transitioned into administrative roles, including Business Office Manager and Human Resources Partner at Five Star Senior Living in Gainesville, GA. Originally from Nigeria, he moved to the U.S. in 2009, settling in New Jersey. Olawale finds great joy in working with seniors, believing that sharing time and conversation can brighten their day. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching soccer, binge-watching shows, and spending time with his family.
