The Gathering Place in Peachtree City
The Gathering Place is a Fayette County Life Enrichment Center. Seniors can come here to get a break from the routine of life at home, form lasting friendships, and join a vibrant community. The center offers a vast range of daily activities to support you as you journey through retirement. No matter what you’re into, there’s something here you can enjoy. Some popular activities include:
- Exercise classes to master yoga and tai chi
- Community trips to museums and art installations
- Special celebrations and events, such as live music
- Group meals
- Transportation to special events
- Information about local senior resources, including things to do in Peachtree City
The center also connects seniors to helpful support services, including senior living communities and caregiver support in the area.
Fayette County residents can join for $30 a year. For those outside the county, the annual fee is $90. However, the Gathering Place does not exclude anyone because of lack of funds. People who cannot afford membership can contact a care coordinator for a confidential meeting at 770-461-0813, ext. 104.
