Mrs. Ginny Deselms moved into Arbor Terrace Peachtree City in September of 2021. Since then, she has been a bright spot in our days, quick to share a smile and some words of wisdom. Her favorite of which is, “Our life is a journey, enjoy the ride." She is an active part of our community. Let's get to know her better!
Ginny grew up in Mount Vernon, Illinois with her loving parents, two brothers, and one sister. Ginny always wanted to have a family of her own. Later in life, she and her husband Carl moved to Indiana, where they raised their three children: Deb, Terry, and Barb. While her husband worked for the Jewel Tea Company, Ginny cherished and loved raising her children. Once they had grown up and moved out, Ginny started to volunteer for hospice. When Ginny wasn’t too busy giving her TLC to those around her, she enjoyed caring for her cats, bowling, and cooking. Some of her family’s favorite recipes include roast, meatloaf, and homemade bread.
To anyone who knows her, it is apparent that Ginny is an easy person to love with her endless compassion, kindness, and wisdom. To that, she says, “I ask God every day to be with me” and, “there is something good in everyone.”
Ginny loves to take walks in our beautiful community and attend our Theme Dinners. Ginny loves to smile and chat with her neighbors. She is always willing to help with activities when asked. We are incredibly blessed to have such a positive and warmhearted resident as Ginny here at Arbor Terrace Peachtree City. You would be remiss if you didn’t take the chance to hear some of Ginny’s pearls of life. She encourages everyone to be happy, no matter what the circumstances are!
