Our 80s pool party made a big splash among residents, staff, family, and friends. Our staff made sure to dress the part in 80s attire, wearing everything from bright colors and splashy prints to band shirts with band hair. Some staff members mimicked famous celebrities from the 80s like Janet Jackson and Run DMC.
The decorations screamed 80s too! Multi-colored crazy daisies matched the Rubik’s cube centerpieces. Featured celebrities like Michael Jackson and Madonna donned our totally tubular tablescapes. And the setting would not be complete without an awesome 80s photo backdrop for photo ops.
We offered up three types of pizza in our 80s themed pizzeria. As well as mini ice cream sundaes reminiscent of Farrell’s Ice Cream Shop—a popular ice cream parlor also from the 80s. We felt all the 80s nostalgia and fun.
After dinner, residents headed out to our patio where we had live entertainment by singer, Lois Scholfield. We were blessed with beautiful warm weather that was perfect for an evening dip. Residents relaxed listening to the tunes while visiting friends and family swam in the pool.
