And many try to serve up a bit of everything. Additionally, some communities are sponsored by religious or other organizations, and that may determine much about the community’s culture, as well as the values and attitudes of the seniors the community serves.
Consider also the cultural life in the surrounding area. Gwinnett County is a vast suburban area with a wide range of shopping centers, easy access to the Mall of Georgia, and plenty of chain and independent restaurants. Atlanta is just a 20-30 minute drive away. In the city, you’ll find plenty of cultural events, including performances by the Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Opera.
