Senior living feels different for everyone. And not everyone is looking for the same things. But what our residents, their families, and the staff at The Preserve at Palm-Aire agree on is that residents in a senior living community should feel comfortable and well cared for, at all times.
When we talked to one of our fabulous team members, Shernet, and asked her what she liked the most about her job, she said putting “a smile on someone's face.” And the fact that she gets to do that every day, and she is making a difference in people’s lives, is what makes her work better than anything else, she says.
A close family member of one of our long-time memory care residents, says what he values the most in the care of his father, is how attentive the staff are. Everyone is hands-on and stays involved in every resident’s story and daily life. The fact that our staff itself is happy and well-supported in their jobs, only adds to the positive and warm atmosphere at The Preserve at Palm-Aire.
And you can tell by the smile on Rosie’s face, who is one of our most cherished team members, that engaging with the residents is what brings her the most joy. She admits, someone may not be in a good mood when they first come in, but “they end up happy and that's the best part.”
