A typical day for residents here at Arbor Terrace Cooper City is packed with fun activities and new learning opportunities. Kylie, one of our activity coordinators, gives a glimpse into our residents’ schedule and what she loves most about her job. She explains how we include lots of movement for the body and brain, as well as plenty of engagement with music, singing, and dancing. And of course, lots of social opportunities for everyone to mingle and get to know each other better.
One of our long-time resident’s daughters shares how she feels the staff at Arbor Terrace Cooper City are like her friends. From the moment she walks in and is greeted with smiles, she feels the warmth.
She then gets candid about how she was worried at first about the change when her father moved from assisted living to memory care. She wondered if her dad would miss the familiarity and people from his prior living setting. But she says she’s so grateful and amazed they’re all still in his life. She explains, “they check on him all the time. They say hi to him.” “In the lobby, everybody stops and says hi to my dad and gives him a hug or a kiss or just, you know, Bill, how are you today? You know what's going on?”
