The Arbor Company has launched a new Memory Care program–Ella, a digital caregiver assistant. The app, by TapRoot, comes with a database of over 60 different reactions or behaviors along with suggestions for interventions. Along with these recommendations, Ella features a full library of memory care resources for caregivers.
Using cutting-edge technology, families are provided with a unique link to input their own loved one’s medical history so Ella can customize appropriate responses for each individual.
Beginning as a pilot program in January, 2024, The Arbor Company launched Ella in two Arbor communities: Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel in New Jersey, and Arbor Terrace Citrus Park in Florida. The goal of the pilot is to test Ella’s ability to decrease reliance on the use of medicines for resident behaviors, as well as minimize the frequency and severity of dementia-related behaviors over time. The pilot program will also validate Ella’s ability to offer tailored interventions to residents and help caregivers deliver compassionate, personalized care.
