- [Narrator] Assisted living is so different than so many people expect. Assisted living is something that you need to step in and experience for yourself. And what we have to offer at The Arbor Company is a wonderful experience. There's still choice, there's still great offerings. There can still be luxury, there can still be an amazing lifestyle, but it's just there with that support behind the scenes that you can tap into because we want you to be successful and live well.

- When you're in a community setting you get the fun, social environment, that's not offered to you at your house. You also get all of your chores taken care of, your housekeeping, you know, lawn service, and even if you never wanted to cook again, you could eat every meal in one of our dining venues. I think the biggest aspect is knowing that we are going to put your joy and your needs first.

- I thought, "Wow, this is a great place." Seemed like they had a lot to offer. We have the best staff, wanting to help you out, scheduling things, and you can tell it's run by people who love what they're doing. And I'll tell you, I don't know a person here who's not happy, because I am. I just love it.

- Senior living has evolved. Senior living is so customer-service based. Our residents are the center of our universe. I tell my grandma now, who's looking into senior living, "I promise you it's better than you'll ever expect. "I promise you that if you give it a try, you'll love it. "And I promise you that I've never had someone say, " 'I wish we didn't do this.' " I always hear, "I wish we would've done it sooner."

- We really want to keep our residents' independence for as long as they can. So it's just taking more chores away. It's assisting them with grooming or bathing, or with their medications, anything they need to make their lives easier, so they can do the things that they enjoy.

- All of our residents had families, and careers and jobs, and they had a life before they moved into The Arbor Company. When they move in here, we do everything for 'em, but everyone still needs that sense of a purpose, that sense of accomplishment, so we make sure in our engagement program that we're providing that opportunities of purpose, that range from recreational leisure to spiritual journey, health and wellness, arts and education. You name it, we kind of cover it in assisted living. When you walk into all these different rooms and there's different things going on, and the residents are enjoying every moment, that's what it's all about.

- Resident input is extremely important to our dining department. We like to factor in residents preferences into our menu development, so that they're having the best dining experience they can. I always look at this as the ultimate form of hospitality. Here, it's their home, they're here every single day, so these table touches daily and the the meetings monthly, so that we can really kind of hammer in on what they enjoy, what they don't like as much, and then really kind of structure that menu and the whole program towards their likes.

- This has been an excellent choice for us. It has really lifted a great pressure off of our lives, that my wife is receiving the exact care that she needs, and that's what we needed and that's what we wanted. And the staff is very responsive to any of your need. The maintenance force is exceptionally good. Of course, the activities are monitored very closely and you can find anything you want to do sometime during the day here. It's never boring around here, not if you want him to be involved.

- Individualized care plan is something that we develop based on a resident's need. So, when you first meet with our sales counselor in the community and they help you decide on what the right apartment is, the next step is to really understand what services that you'll need from us to be safe, to really thrive in the community, and to make the difference for you. The plan is utilized, so that you don't have to raise your hand and ask for that help every time you need it. We've built that into the schedule, our staff is prepared to provide you that help, and then you're really only having to ask for additional help if something comes up throughout the day that isn't expected.

- We know our residents so well, that if a slight different we notice and that's when we jump in and we speak to the families and decide if there's a change that we need to make. And having the continuum of care, that a lot of our communities have, it's a very easy transition to go through those programs because we are so involved and we keep the families involved as well.

- I'm very comfortable here. I don't feel like I'm a stranger, I haven't felt like a stranger since before day one. But when I walked in that door, I was home. And another major plus for me, is the fact that my family, and they are so pleased with my being here. They're happy about it. So they're happy, I'm happy. And yes, it was an excellent choice.
