Considering a transition into a senior living community? Now is a great time to make the move. Residents of senior living communities enjoy a priority spot to receive the COVID-19 vaccine before it becomes available to the general public. Nearly all of the communities operated by The Arbor Company are part of the “phase 1A” group in the national rollout of the vaccine. (One exception: our standalone independent living communities.)
However, prospective residents will need to act sooner than later. In order to receive the vaccine, you must commit to a move-in before the scheduled vaccination clinic date for your chosen community.
This is good news for seniors who’ve been isolating at home for the past year. With the advent of vaccination, we expect our communities will soon get back to normal. Current and new residents can enjoy all the amenities, restaurant-style dining, socialization and other benefits that senior living affords.
With more than 40 locations in 11 states, seniors have many Arbor communities to choose from. To begin your search, use this convenient location tool to help you find the community that meets your needs in the location you prefer.
As you make your decision, you’ll want to tour each senior living community you’re considering – and of course, do it safely. Communities operated by The Arbor Company are happy to schedule a virtual tour for you to visit from the comfort and safety of your own home. Our senior care counselors will explain everything you need to know and will personally answer all of your questions. We will give you the tools you need to help you make the right decision for you.
We’d also love to tell you about our infection control procedures, which were in place well before the COVID-19 pandemic. All Arbor Company communities use specialized electrostatic sprayers that use an EPA-approved sanitizing solution. We follow guidelines from state and local health departments, as well as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. During the pandemic, we’ve employed rigorous screening, testing, social distancing and personal protective equipment to keep residents safe. Anyone entering our communities is carefully screened and must wear a mask.
We hope the vaccination will allow us to return to our normal routines soon. But even after the pandemic passes, you can rest assured that your new community will take every available precaution to keep you healthy and protected from contagious diseases.
Note: In order to receive the vaccine at one of our Arbor Company community clinics, residents must have financial possession and be present at the scheduled time of the vaccine. Vaccines will only be distributed during these pre-scheduled clinics.
